The published terms work against the team: dear per game, refunds that keep your money, a mandatory hotel block, or some combination. This is what the organizer states, not what teams reported.
Grade components
Cost and terms only, on a wider cost band and lower letter bands. Adult players enter themselves, so there are no scouts to publish and no bracket to advance to — an exposure score would separate nothing and the grade is clearer without it.
How this is calculatedHow much of this is published
Partly published3 of 4
Some of the four terms facts are unpublished and score at the midpoint of their range. The grade is real but it is partly a statement about what has not been said.
The four gradeable facts are the entry fee, the refund policy, the hotel requirement and the guaranteed game count. Anything the organizer leaves out is priced at the middle of its range rather than counted against them — most operators quote on application, and a grade that punished silence would be reporting our own missing data as their failing.

Organizers may answer a review in public, and their responses are labelled and shown. They are excluded from every average, count and return rate here, so an operator cannot move their own rating.
What to expect
Hockey Finder's own tournament, and the one event here it runs rather than lists. Sign-up is individual and there are no teams: skaters register alone, are placed by skill rating into one of three divisions — Twin Ports (levels 1–2.5), Iron Range (2.5–3.3) and Gichi-gami (3.3+) — and are drafted into balanced rosters of thirteen players and a goalie the week of the tournament. Four games, full-ice five-on-five, round robin, two officials per game, played between 10am and 6pm across the Saturday and Sunday at Superior Ice Arena and Wessman Arena. The price is per player, not per team, and so is left out of the cost-per-game comparison: $129 for a skater and $79 for a goalie at late registration, which is what applies now, against an early-bird $109 and $79 that closed on 31 August 2026. No refunds once registered. Players must bring a white and a dark jersey. The weekend runs a social with live music, a silent auction and a raffle, and raises money for Superior Amateur Hockey Association youth hockey and for Hockey Finder Assist, which pays registration for players who cannot. A discounted block at the Hampton Inn Superior was offered at $229 a night but was only guaranteed to 29 August 2026, so no current block rate is recorded; booking a hotel is in any case optional.
