    The football was well organised once we arrived. Two families booked through the recommended travel partner and paid noticeably more than those of us who booked direct. Ask for the entry-only price and arrange your own flights.

    Ciudad Deportiva is a proper facility and having a physio pitch-side for every match is rare at this price. Five games, good standard of opposition. The hotel deposit being non-refundable is worth flagging to your families up front.

    The half-board resort package is the whole proposition and it works: total trip cost per player was under 400 including flights. Getting clear answers in English before we travelled was hard and the pre-event pack arrived in Spanish only. On site there was always someone to help.
